It Has Begun

Friday, December 30th, 2005

“What has begun?” you ask. I’ll tell you. My six month work out schedule to get ripped by the time I go to the beach in June. Notice I didn’t say ’skinny’ I said ‘ripped.’ Who wants to be skinny? Skinny can’t work all day scooping sand for a sand castle. Skinny can’t carry large buckets of shells. Skinny has no chance at all of hefting that cooler of coronas to the beach. I promise not to become a Ms. Fitness contestant. I think I would have to start eating meat again to get that huge. Ew. and double Ew.
I’ve completed 4 days of exercise so far (not including the daily commute on the bike) and I can already feel a difference in my mood. I don’t know how people stand to be around me when I’m not exercising faithfully. I’m so much happier when I’m active.
I have also been thinking on a dream vacation and that would be to hike, bike and horseback ride all over Europe. Each day, or every other, would end at some great B&B or hotel, or chateaux, etc. I think it would be a great way to see the countries. Time to start saving!

And for closing, I hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year!

I owe you some pictures, sorry it’s taken me so long i couldn’t get adobe photoshop to open. so the following pictures are from my 40 mile bike ride - a cotton field and a view from the plantation (you can see the James River in the background). Then there are pictures from the party in D.C. that I went to to celebrate my friend’s 25th B-day. Finally, a funny pic of the me and the red dress I made.
