The Real Reason to Wear a Bike Helmet

To protect one from falling autumn foliage. “Ping! Ping! Ping!” went the acorns. At one point I had a leaf stuck in the vents of my helmet. My very own headdress.

(For those wondering today’s bike trip was 44 miles)

    pesky acorns, you’re lucky you get to wear a helmet, i don’t have an excuse, so they hit me.

    Better than what fell on the couple in front of me Saturday! They got the entire tree when that strong (80 mph) storm front blew through here. Dropped it right on the hood of their car as we were driving!!!! I couldn’t believe they weren’t crushed, and when I got to them I thought they would have a heart attack, they were shaking so badly!!!
